Before you proceed to play the demo,  please read the paragraphs below to avoid some common misconceptions: The demo is NOT a full-featured role-playing game.   Currently it is pure monster hack-and-slash, which is a lot of fun,  but it does not yet have all the features an RPG should have (e.g. items) and only a small portion of the world is implemented, notably the mines around Montparsa.  Panumbra version 3.0 will contain all basic RPG elements when released. The demo is NOT a beta test, i.e. we will not have beta sign-ups,   a dedicated support team, patches released immediately etc.  Players should look for bugs, though, and report the bugs to the development team.   Thank you for your understanding. The demo is unsupported.  We have no support outside of normal working hours,  and bugs are only fixed if they prevent people from playing, e.g. server crashes.  Bugs which are not fixed in the demo will be fixed in version 3.0.  The demo is not the final product.  The server is still unstable, and there are bugs.  We are working hard to resolve the instability problems.   Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please read the  system requirements page to make sure you can run the demo. Recommended browsers:  Internet Explorer 3.02, Netscape Navigator 3.0 - 3.4, Netscape Communicator 4.04. Browsers that do NOT work: Internet Explorer 4.0 and higher, any browser running Java 1.1. If you have problems connecting, clear the cache of the browser and try to reconnect.   If that does not work, switch to one of the recommened browsers. The server has a scheduled daily down time for maintenance. Support information All times given are Central time US - Chicago. Daily maintenance:  Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 12:00 am CST.   During maintenance time the server may be DOWN.   The server is restarted at least once every day during maintenance hours.  Working hours:   Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. The demo is not supported outside of working hours.  If the server goes down in the evening or on the weekend, next time someone will be able to restart it is the next working day at 11:00 am. Send bug reports to bugrpt@shareplay.com.  Please include in your description: the browser you are using,  with exact version e.g. Netscape Navigator 3.01 the operating system you are using date/time the error happened (CST, or include time zone or country) what did you do prior to the error if you got an error message, the error number (see the title of the error message) and the text of the error message Thank your for your understanding and help in fixing the bugs.
